Phil's Vision

By "Phil's Vision" I mean this is what I would want to get out of my involvement in the project. I am guessing each person will have a different vision which is fine. Knowing them means you can look for something in common that works. Note that I am far from "the guiding light" here.

Rather than write a big story about this, I am offering my input as a numbered list. That should make commenting easier.

1. I would like some personal isolation (that is, my own land) but with proximity to others with common interests.
2. I would like what I am involved in to be non-exclusive. That is, it becomes part of the greater community and does not attempt to isolate itself from the surrounding "real Nicaragua".
3. In my personal space I would like to grow some veggies, fruit trees, ... using organic growing methods.
4. An ideal location for me would be in a relatively cool area.
5. I am all for being off-grid. Wind, solar, hydro, ...
6. Internet connectivity is important.
7. I don't need to be/want to be near Managua. Being within say 1 hour of the Pan American Highway would be a plus but where on the Pan Am is unimportant.
8. I am very much into technology but, appropriate technology. I would enjoy figuring out how to do things the way that makes the most sense. That is, practical and sustainable.
9. I am all for minimizing imports from anywhere. Think local, buy local.

I want to say something about how much land seems right for me but it really depends on how much total land there is and what happens with the rest. Ok for me could be from 2 to 10 manzanas is my guess.
