Great tripSubmitted by thunderdial on 13 July, 2007 - 15:23.
Having a great trip so far. Have met Kelly, Jon, and one of the owners at Pelican Eyes - all nice folks. Spent a night at La Gran Francia - nice place, but a litle pricey. Currently in Leon, basking in the oppressive heat. THey are firing off the bombs at night, leading up to the 19th - which is kinda retarded when you think about it. But what can ya do? |

Here in Jinotepe the bombas
Here in Jinotepe the bombas are also going off, and we've had a lot of loud music from the highway. We think it's all leading up to the hipicas in Nandaime this weekend. But it's pretty quiet right now. I'll bet that changes just because I said that!!
Las bombas
You bet! Nandaime is starting ther Fiesta de Santa Ana,(July 26) but the hipicas start next week I think. i need peace and quite after midnight. I can't take all that noise.
Sounds familiar
like in the USA the kids shooting of fireworks a few day before the 4th. Maybe they are all retarded. Hummmm ....
Well, we have our fair share
Well, we have our fair share of retarded traditions, but kids too anxious to wait for the 4th shooting a few bottle rockets early compared to the offcial lighting off actual bombs every hour, on the hour, even at 2/3/4/5:00 AM, well, that's retarded.
