Pumping Water with the WindSubmitted by fyl on 11 July, 2007 - 15:58.
I was looking at some solar pumping options and tripped on some interesting information on windmills. Dean Bennett Supply has some very interesting information on (and sells) Aermotor windmills. That includes both the new model 802 and older model 702s. That lead me to the next page. FIASA in Argentina makes what was the US-based Aermotor model 702 that you saw all over the US from the 1930s on. This particular page shows you about everything you need to know. For example, with 14-18 mph of wind (not all the time), you can pump 150 gallons/hour from a depth of 1000 feet with a 16 foot wheel. ( categories: )
