![]() For the second day in a row, this ancient fire department tank truck (the plates are 1980s "Nicaragua Libre" plates) staffed by 3 or 4 firemen (not sure if they are the "real firemen" or "Aleman's fireman") back up to the back door of Casino Las Vegas (where they have their occasional dinner parties) and pumps something into somewhere. The casino has water. I don't think they are pressure washing the building. What is really going on? ( categories: )

What's pumpinin'?
The fire department here in Granada does this alot too. They are high pressure cleaning the storm drains. It took them two tank loads of water to clear the drains at the house across the street from me just last week. They charge 300 cords for the service.

Beer delivery?
Maybe they are delivering beer via the biggest portable "barril" in Nicaragua?
IFA Trucks
Just for my amusement, I decided to look up a bit on IFA trucks. They were made in the German Democratic Republic and were apparently also popular in Viet Nam. This one appears to be a W50.
On one site it talked about how a number of them ended up in Nicaragua in all sorts of service from tank trucks to buses. The post included one with a Blue Bird bus body tacked on.
It was also mentioned that they were most famous for brake system failures. So, I guess I don't want to end up in front of one. When Germany and Germany became Germany, they became part of the Daimler-Benz group and the line has since been replaced with Mercedes trucks.
hmmmmmmm strange
