Time for the truth about Toni Solo or maybe it is all a Coincidence

After “lurking” on this website for a number of months I felt compelled to write about this guy Toni Solo. His re-write of Nicaraguan history as recently published is a whitewash of all of the wrongs of the Ortega regime. I have no axe to grind with the Sandinistas or any other political party. However, the practices of Ortega are not in the best interests of Nicaragua and will only hurt her people. I started to investigate this Toni Solo and found the following:

In trying to contact Toni Solo, I have found these email addresses posted on a very large number of extreme left wing sites. The email addresses include:

tonisolo01@yahoo.com tonisolo52@yahoo.com circa 2003 just about the time Phil was 52 ? info@tonisolo.net tonisolo@nicaliving.com gosh! tonisolo@hotmail.com

Emails to these sites have not been answered.

The website for Toni Solo, referenced in the above web sites is:

www.tonisolo.net .....It can not be accessed, even though the technical contact for this site is listed as Phil Hughes in Estelí, and who, as we all know, can "manage" a web site.

Since Phil Hughes is the technical contact for www.tonisolo.net, one would assume that Toni Solo is not technical. However Toni Solo has written articles about the (evil) US and also articles in technical publications such as an online computer consultants magazine "Codecomments.com" and "Linux Gazette". These can be seen at: http://www.codecomments.com/archive207-2006-6-958185.html and on the Drupal website http://drupal.org/profile/country/Nicaragua . Did I mention that Phil uses Drupal software to create his website www.Nicaliving.com ? Did I mention that Phil also manages (or used to manage) an online magazine about Linux software called "Tux"?

Toni Solo has also written an article about Linux and referenced Phil Hughes in the article. See it at: http://www.counterpunch.org/solo10102003.html .

Now this Toni Solo is an interesting guy. He writes articles about the politics of Central America, is always referred to as "an activist based in Central America", and writes articles about technical aspects of Linux and is listed on a Drupal website at : http://drupal.org/profile/country/Nicaragua. Yet he needs this guy named Phil Hughes to be his technical contact for a website that has been shut down. Hmmmm.

Phil Hughes states:

"You have (correctly) concluded that I know who Toni Solo is. Most of you have also correctly realized that Toni Solo is not me."

He also says:

"Now, where was Toni Solo in the 1980s? I actually don't know."

Phil states he is not Toni Solo (http://www.nicaliving.com/node/9160). But this is an amazing string of coincidences. Both Phil and Toni fill their posts with statements about the (evil) US, Bush, big business, neo-liberals, and neo-cons.

It is all a bunch of neo-crap.
