Your other photograph was going down. What's this place all about? Your two photo's show a quiet Town. Is It? Did you stay there? Looks like an off the Tourist Place kind of Town. I would like to check it out, It's a Major centre for the region, the commercial hub..No?
I imagine the weather annually is not prone to be too humid, Hot in the daytime and cool at night. Fair bit of Rain in the Season for rainfall. Different from Rivas, Ometepe, Granada, Jinotepe and Managua?

Not really, they are two photos from different areas of town, not too far apart. The pictures seem like a quiet town but it is not, Matagalpa is the main distribution center of all kinds of goods, primarily on Produce (vegetables, fruits) and of curse: Café. It is in the middle of Nicaragua, very rugged road to get there from Managua, poorly maintained roads if any… But worth taken a trip over there. The weather is just like you described it. You will feel the change of climate as you get closer to Matagalpa and, if you really like cold weather, go to Jinotega and you really will find a nice climate in the middle of some rain forest. Disfruta Matagalpa y sus gentes...
What goes down, Must come up.
