La Boquita

A beach town on the cliff before you get to the resort of La Boquita meaning little mouth. Many upscale homes on the cliff overlooking the Pacific with limestone stairs going down to the beach areas. You can walk to the resort, or for longer walkers to Casares the little fishing village which I am trying to help...Surfing is good north of La Boquita resort about 400 meters and you can rent a board at the resort. You can also rent horses or pangas to go fishing. When you enter the resort dozens of restaurant employees will attempt to bring you their restaurant....Food is so so but the view is exceptional if you like sandy beaches. children as in any beach in Nicaragua will sell you shellfish jewelry for about 10 or 20 cordobas...about 50 cents to a little over a dollar. One gringo I know has lived there with his Nica wife for 17 years. There us another Gringa living down towards Casares who is a NL member (easygringa).
