find a doctor?

am looking for a specialist. any yellow pages, internet list, or other method of research so i can call a doctor first. then set up a small procedure, for when i come down?

Use the living yellow pages and ask for recommendations, still the best way to find good services. Why not post the type of specialist you are looking for and in what area?

a plastic surgeon. insurance will not cover. so i thought on my next trip down, i'd have lined up a plastic surgeon. the vivian pellas hospital sounds good.

That is a good list indeed. Of the experiences I've had, Baptist in Managua has been very good. If you've got plastic or dollars, they move you to the front of the line, so don't be put off when you first walk in and see the messes in line.

is the way to go ...located at km 9 c. masaya, they have a great facility there, lab, farmarcia... with a large staff of consulting docs (personal expereince w/Dermatology dept, dra. alina gomez)..look for the web site and discounts for club de salud...they have many docs that speak english and they can also provide translators if needed.

they also have international cert on this hospital...nicas say the miltary hosp is good...i like vivian pellas...great modern facility!
