Tortillas?

On the other end of the spectrum from McDonalds and Starbucks where logo branding is so important is this house. I asked my neighbors where to buy tortillas and they pointed to this place diagonally across the street from my house. In fact, the picture was taken from my doorway.

Sure enough, 2 for a Cordoba and good. BYOP (That is, bring a plate and they stack them on it. No plastic bags to recycle here.)

Breakfast Shopping

One of the things which I enjoy so much in Nicaragua is having breakfast. It is so hard to decide what to have. With a dozen or so people passing by the house selling fresh hot sweat breads and other delicious foods and fruits. Or maybe just going next door to the lady making tortillas, Nice hot tortillas with butter! ...or Should I grab some eggs from the pulperia on the other side of the street, with some fresh sausage.
