Comedor de Soya

This is the Vegan choice in town. This ancient chalk board looks as nice or nicer than most things here. But, the food is fine and they sell (as you can see) soy "meat" and soy milk to go.

It is never quite clear what you can get there so the day I took this photo I just ordered a "plato typical" and based on the beverage choices (leche de soya, banana y melón) picked melón). This got me a big pile of soy meat mixed with tomato and something that made it seriously yellow but didn't really taste--probably tumeric-- along with rice, benas and a tortilla. The whole bill including the drink was C$20 or about $1.20.
