Death of a fisherman

I have posted a couple of blogs about my friend Catalan who died while diving for lobsters off the coast in Casares Nicaragua. Now I would like to ask for help for his surviving family who have no income now. Below is a message that I have sent to others. Note that money is not something that would help them.

It was very difficult seeing him in his rented coffin. His body was bloated and black from all the hemorrhaged blood vessels. When they buried him he was still oozing blood from his nose and eyes. I am going to help his widow and children to get started in the fishing business again. It would be good if some of you could help too. Not with money because no matter how much of a friend he was to me and how much I want to help his family money would just probably be misused. Food, fishing equipment, books and school equipment for his children would help. I am going to ask for donations on other sites and hopefully something will come. Could you maybe check around some of the sites you visit?
