Chacocente Beach

Just one of the many pictures I took on one of the new day tours/safaris operating out of the Vistamar Hotel in Pochomil. Pretty cool, you go on a 4x4 guided tour over the sand and get to see all the beaches from Pochomil, Managua, through Carazo and all the way to Chacocente (turtle wildlife reserve) and even Popoyo in Rivas.

Look at the offshore spray!! The water's probably about 81 degrees and the tide looks to be low. Possibly turning and building soon. I gotta get out of here! Thanks for the pic!

CHOCOCENTE? Good surf there? I;m on my way to CA in 2 wks for 2 mo w/nica as final destination. i am a surfer.

I was just in Chacocente a couple of days ago. The swell was small but my friends say it is really fun as you can see by the photo.

Not much for accomodations there. Better to boat in.

Popoyo

I hear Popoyo is the best in Nicaragua. I also went there on this same tour but I don't surf. That beach is just over the hill on the pic.
