Getting ready for some gringo hammock time

John Wayne's hammock picture made me think of our own hammock. I went to Home Depot and bought the thickest hook I could find and screwed it into a wooden beam. Using nylon rope we had lying around, I tied it up. No fancy knots. The only knots I know are the ones you measure speed with.
The hammock itself is tied to a pair of heavy duty quick-release hooks so it's easy to put up and take down.
I did the same thing...
in my living room some years back and eventually the hooks coming out of the wall were bent. Needless to say I went on a diet.
