Ya wear that hat, you may be seeking transport to the SSB!! ;~)
Course you could always go to Jinotega...

I live in Granada, the "not real Nicaragua"

You need a glow...a bit of a tan. And the glisten (sweat)of the tropics. Come on down and set everyone straight...PLEASE... Hey...I am one of the Grandinos (a not fultime..and wow longing to be !!!) too...stop making fun Padre. Wow....just can't please everyone !!!! But betcha didn't live in Africa in 1960 !!!! Neener..... Willow
Pink is just about a uniform up here in Jinotega
Before the elections, millions of red PLC and ALN caps then suddenly, nobody has one. Maybe, after 15 years, we will finally have someone who knows that the North exists and that life doesnt revolve around the fake plastic gringolandia of Granada.
I live in the real Nicaragua, and I am proud of what we have. Cool climate, water, electricity, valuable crops, mountains, lakes, affordable living. Come on over, Padre, see what you are missing.
Tony.
do you know.....

As I say...Pinky...Enoy the Experience !!!!
No way anyone will intimidate me...I lived before most of you where it was impossible to live. Fake plastic...heh heh..you want to forge your paths...good. but...please..I refuse to take any of it to heart ...cause..you have no clue. ake everything you eat from scatch...and I mean everything !!!!And.....no way you will get anything for a year...a full year you need to build etc....And if you want to taste real meat.or ham etc...ask someone to smuggle it to you. Now...STOP...being spoiled and judgemental.or trying to sell real estate. This is your Grandmother speaking....old lady who has been through international living and is tired of the whining ! I chose Granada becuse I knowwhat it is like to live without any amenities...notthing...and I mean ten hours to the nearest "post". By road and hope you can find enough gasoline. You want a tomato...cucumber...best you grow your own. OK///enough from me.... I am just tired of the yuppie discourse. Enjoy it...the "Experience"...we are all so fortunate to be able to do this. Willow
You got me. I'm toast.
I'm a townie, I would die inside an hour in the true outback. I take my hat off to you, Willow. I am sure there are fine people in Granada, just as there are most places - Granada just isn't my comfort zone. When (if) the Matagalpa road gets fixed and the baby boomers move in to Jinotega, I will be up the valley a ways - close enough that I can buy tortillas but far enough that I can't buy hamburgers. Thats my zone. Grinding corn is someone elses job, gracias.
...a Nicaraguense in my internet cafe sent me a message "Ok, grassias", there is a LOT we can do here!
