2) Where the owner/operator, XXXX XXXXXXX, listens to mind numbing and ear splitting music until 5am which allows you no sleep then the XXXXXXXXX is your place.

3) Where the owner/operator, XXXX XXXXXXX, changes the agreed room price to fuel his drug habit in the middle of your stay without your knowledge and threatens you with harm and a gun if you don´t pay then the XXXXXXXXX is your place.

4) Where the owner/operator, XXXX XXXXXXX, slaps, beats and otherwise abuses his girlfriend in front of you and has extreme arguments with her at all hours then the XXXXXXXXX is your place.

5) Where you can be overcome by the smell of dog crap and pee from the owner's 3 huge animals then the XXXXXXX is your place.

6) Where you can see captured and endangered animals imprisoned in cramped, dirty and harsh conditions then the XXXXXXX is your place.

Basically this place is a crack/coke fueled madhouse run by a maniac who cares absolutely zero about his guests or his business. His name again is XXXX XXXXXXX and you should stay entirely away from the XXXXXXXXXX.

I appreciated the fact that chris1969 felt strongly enough to warn us of this place. I did believe the manner in which he did it was over the line. Apparently the travel websites to which he posted in the same manner believe so as well -- they deleted his posts.

But why does this post even exist here anymore. After the edit, one cannot tell that it is about the Landmark Inn. It serves zero purpose.

As we have been threatened before with legal action for "telling the truth" on NL, I asked the author if he would stand behind his comments. He assured me he would--yesterday. Today, it looks like he backed down.

In the life on NicaLiving, I have been asked to remove some posts that named names, asked to take down some photos because the poster was threatened and the owner of NicaLiving was threatened by a scumbag for a member's post. (Note that I didn't back down but the poster asked that I remove the information.)

Just sorry it works that way. I am, however, guessing that all these "problems" have been the result of non-Nicaraguans. I know that most have and, well, lawyers in Nicaragua tend to write contracts, not threaten people.

The crackhead owner/operator XXXX while I was there actually contracted with some local Nicas to secure a tucan for 800 cords.

It arrived and was dead 2 days later.

So sad it was such a beautiful young bird.
