Progress on pier in SjdS

Here is the new pier in SjdS as of last week. Moving right along, as are new homes on the right side of the bay, up on the hillside.

Got to meet Kelly at El Gato Negro, and just missed meeting Tedd, who came in just after I was there the first time. I've found a terrific new place to have breakfast on my future trips.

I am glad to report that Subway is NOT in the Hotel Estrella, but instead is on what I call Internet row, tucked in between several other businesses. Nicely unobtrusive.

Last Monday night there was a convoy of pickups, cars and big trucks with red and black flags waving, horns tooting, and lots of hollering. Nearly everyone I spoke to about the election said they were mostly concerned about the response of the US to Daniel's election. I didn't find anyone who said they voted for Daniel - kind of like our last Presidential election, come to think of it....

At the airport in Miami, carrying two duty free suitcases, I walked up to a customs guy, who asked me if I was travelling alone. I pointed to my companion, and said, no I'm with him. The customs guy asks me how many bottles I had in the suitcases, and I said 'six', thinking here it comes....the guy says 'you're allowed only one per person.' And that's all he said. Off I went, with my 6 FDCs. I think MA might have been proud of me.

And none of them were for me!
