Google Earth updated imagery

There are vast new areas of Nicaragua now in high-resolution imagery. They've added lots of rural areas in the north, but not the cities of Esteli, Matagalpa, or Jinotega yet. You can see the high-res areas in this image as rectangular boxes.

There was another update a

There was another update a few weeks ago, but I swear they do it by closing their eyes and throwing darts. Yes, they finally updated areas like San Juan del Sur, but with very old images. You will notice that there is no sign of construction on the new piers. Some of the images of Managua are about 5 years old or more, so they are missing newer features. And some of the latest hi-res updates have no features of interest whatsoever. Some are water areas with no land, some are mountain areas with virtually no habitation. Strange that they would spend the resources on areas that hold no interest for anyone with a computer.
