Private Messages

Private messages are useful for setting up off-line communications thru email or for short messages to other members. If, however, you have an answer to a member question that could be of general interest to NL members, post it as a comment to the question.

To use Private Messages, click view inbox and select write message and enter member's name and write message and click send. If a member receives any messages; view inbox reflects the number of messages received and member clicks view inbox and clicks on the received message for reading.

Note that what Private Messages is not for SPAMing other members. For example, sending advertisements to individuals. Misuse of the private message feature is grounds for termination of your membership.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions allow you to keep track of a post from email. When posts you subscribe to are updated or have comments added, you will be sent an email. In addition to subscribing to individual posts you may subscribe to a set of posts, for example a member blog. You will then receive email if a new blog entry is posted by that member.
