SPANISH FOR GRINGOS (Para que los Gringos aprendan castellano) There's always something to learn or to try, many times you need to say some phrase in Spanish, but you don't know how to say it, don't worry, your problems have finished, if your are a gringo and you don't know speak Spanish, we'll be helpful in your learning. For an instance, we took from it some common phrases, just try and you're gonna see the difference and how easy is to speak Spanish. (léanlo en ingles, esta genial!)

see..this is a joke, most gringos and most members here in NL wouldn't say the kinky part of this post, it is for laughing not to confuse people, make them speak "castellano" in a bad way or even make them feel bad at all...plus most people think that way,take it like the joke it is. Easy edward ;-)

If I recollect correctly in my confused state u have intimated that much of the world's difficulties can be traced to the ('evil' - not my preferential worde, but John's)USof A, are u now blaming my confused and disappointed mental state on the NL membership? Who else might be at fault? so I can get innoculated, like immediately. I'm deeply concerned that I will soon be unable to differentiate the right from the left, or in Padre's words, even the middle. Worse still, I might evolve into a troll. Plus u will note, I have misspelled "worde", a matter which will be disturbing to CMOORE56, but if she is as confused as the rest of u, she won't catch the spelling error, and if she did, would be unable to find her dictionary. I warn you all, that if this confusion persists I will lodge a complint with FLY.
NL Confusion
The incubation period is over and you, much like Typhoid Mary are now a carrier. I can tell this from your post. You state that I have blamed the evil US for the world's troubles. I would suggest that you read back through my posts. You will find that except for my complaints about a few minor annoyances I have always given the US credit for preventing the world from being in even worse shape than it is.

You're calling it complains and I referred to blamming. Picky, Picky, Jack. What's in a word? Lots, that's what. Look at John's comment just following this posting. He refers to Padre's "sarcastic".... hence puting poor Padre on the defensive. Like what did poor Padre do? to be trashed, albeit by inference. And don't confuse me further by suggesting that gthe word 'sarcastic' was a pious nicety. No wonder confusion reigns supreme.

what the heck made you think that John's comment put padre on the defensive? FYI, I assure you that nothing like that was neither done (by John) nor inferred (by padre). If you were to have actually been on this site for awhile, you would recognize that most of us who've been here for longer than 3-4 months can accurately (98-99% of the time) figure out where people are coming from. No need to jump to conclusions just because you are not familiar with us.

Well, I joined this web site because I wanted to learn something about many problems I would have to confront, as an expat. I have learned much from NLers, and how I will have to got about becoming a responsible resident of Nicaragua.(Am flying down next week.)I spend too much time, like a lot of time, reading all (or most) of the various comments posted. Without getting into particulars, I find on NLcom a lot of put downs, many insults, countless personal trashes and attacks, of one person or another - it's really not a site that reflects much amusement, or even objective and constructive contributions. Since you are an acute observor of people, having being on this site much longer than I have, then u shud have observed that a significant portion of my comments, and there are many, some even refering to you, are tongue in cheek, and you cannot cdategorically accuse me of putting people down. I JUST DON'T! I try to find humor in what is transpiring, and if my sense of humor escapes u, or others, and I have offended u or others, I'm sorry. If u or others object to my use of the English language as a means of evoking a small smile, then I have to learn to keep my mouth shut, and laugh to myself over some of the absurdities that appear here from time to time, or the offended reader, you particularily in this instance, need to rethink how u interpret what was is being presented by my contribution, if that's what it is. . If I disagree with many NLers about their politics, but I deliberatly go out of my way to present my argument(s) so that they r not personal attacks. If I recall correctly, the first personal message I got was from u. U objected to an innocent comment, wheatever it was I don't recall, about my wording regarding another NLer. I replied to your PM, and immediately personally apologized to the person to whom u felt I insulted, and to u and him, I said I wud make a public apology before the entire membership. The person to who u felt I attacked replied that not apology was needed. I take umbrage to your attack, because that is wat it is, a personal attack in front of this membership, by attributing to me malicious motivations. I don't want to make issue of some of the stuff u've posted, especially regarding Tegan, some of the stuff was removed from the website by the Administration, but because u r a long standing member of this communmity, u r not immune to the alleagations u would attribute to me. And what makes u think u r God(ess). R U the final judge of what is rite and wrong? IF IN FACT U FEEL, AND OTHERS DO, THAT I ABUSE OTHERS. KICK ME OUT. OR I'LL JUST QUIT. i FRANKLY DON'T NEED ANY BS FROM ANYONE ACCUSING ME OF MALICIOUS ATTACKS AGAINST ANYONE. And on a pesonal note, if u felt my 'sense of humor' was offensive, then it was more than appropriate for u to personallly contact me, rather than bring this matter before the entire NL radership, members and otherwise. I have to ask you - what was it in my message that you felt was an attack? All I was doing was clarifying that one person was NOT villifying another, that's all; where did I say anyone was right or wrong? Where did I say that you were being malicious, and what did I allege you were doing, other than misinterpreting something? How was I being contemptuous to you? Do you really think that comments about having sex on someone's grave (not just anyone, but someone who meant a great deal to a lot of people) is NOT above reproach? THAT, more than anything written in this blog, were beyond comprehension - they were disrespectful, I don't care WHO you are. Again, all I was doing was trying to get you to see that they were JUST KIDDING - really. It's difficult to see where you were using "tongue in cheek" humor, as it seemed that you genuinely thought that there was something more intense going on.

I really don't feel that you have really thought about the train of banality, humore, or nonsense, if u will, that followed one comment after another. I do not want to become a personsa not grata on this site, as others have become, because quite frankly I enjoy the strange comradeship that I have developed with others on this site, despite whatever diferences may exist in numerous areas of socio/politcal concerns. I am not going to apologize for the fact I feel your inital post was an unfriendly one. I don't know about which summit to which you refer (I'm certainly not the queen of anything, as far as I know), and, once again, you have mis-interpreted what I've been trying to say to you. If you were to poll the members of NL, I'd have to say that the majority of them (us) would say that nothing that I've said to you in this forum have been unfriendly, reproachful, malicious, or even disrespectful. You can start the poll with me. In my opinion nobody else would take offense about anything that Cathy wrote to you or about you. I shouldn't say no one else, I had forgotten about a couple of our other NL members.
I have found that people in real life who act normal one day and all of a sudden become paranoid the next day are either bi-polar or on speed. I suppose the same kind of situation might apply on an Internet List. I hope that's not the case.

my apologies for misinterpreting your observations, and responding poorly to both of u, and the NL readership that prowls about looking for stuff to read. It won't happen again. As for the various 'nonsense' (my term, andd not yours) commentaries I made, they were made with tongue in cheek. Accept that as u will. And Jack, I'm not on speed, am not bi-polar, paranoid, etc., altho rite now I feel embarrased. Very.

You can tell quite a bit though from variations in peoples writing style in different posts. On this forum some people get more silly or write less coherently than they usually do once in a while, I usually attribute that to alcohol or pot. No harm done, but we do have a couple of people here whose writing style changes so dramatically from time to time that I know that it has to be caused by something more serious. Enough said.
I noticed that there is a famous authority on parrots who has the same name as you. Is he a relative?

I don't kno which of the four parrot books I wrote that u r referring to, but I am the author. Not famous by any stretch of the imagination, and scarcely an authority. Am currently trying to write a novel. It's a hard plug. Hard because if one has for much of their life written 'scientific' stuff, then sitting down to write a love letter, for example, demands a switch in writing style, language, and so on. That's the problem I'm coping with. And,in a way, because some one in a particular forum writes one way or another, and expresses himself/herself in a particular fashion accordingly, then an involvement in another forum may demand a totally different approach, style, language, emotion. That shift from one style to another may not necessarily imply an emotional imbalance. Being a new member to NL, there is only one person I can think of who posts stuff that I would question his/her stability. But I'm new to this site, and have still to learn much about many of you folks. Having been a long standing member, your observations may be correct. Except, if you're applying them to me. And if u r, Im going to go on a sulk for a while, and then burst into a one second uncontrolable wave of tears before I commit suicide (in my next life, of course). Thanks again for your kind words.

I stole the "(evil)US" (tm) from Padredealyson, who uses it in a purely sarcastic manner in response to people who sincerely DO blame the US for all the world's troubles.
It's hard to just jump into a place and expect you understand everything that's going on.
