What hospital and city is the daughter in? Also how old is she?
She
she is about 25 years old. She is in Lenin Hospital, Managua. Has kidney stones in both kidneys. The family evidently cannot afford the testing costs. I will give more info when I get ahold of Jorge.

advise
first her stone (stones?)have to be evaluated accoring to their size and composicion. for this she will need to have a computerized tomography and urine labs done. generally with stones smaller then one centimeter she will be able a to pass without urological intervention and without major risk to her kidney. will only have to control her pain with non steriodal anagesics(preferably tylenol with codeine or ibuprophen as second choice).with some type of stones there is an option to try dissolve them with drugs but this process can be risky if the stone would be more then one centimeter of size. therefore it is imperative to find out the actual size of her stone because lithtrypsy(breaking of stone) might be needed in order to help the stones to pass.all above pertains to situation where the stone is localized in urether-not in parenhyma (body) of kindey. in any circumstances she needs some kind of radiographic studies done first and this can only be done in hospital settings.peronally i do not belive that any medical mission without access to ct or at least an x-ray would be more helpful then my advice.....good luck
Thanks
I will pass this on to my friend Jorge.
