Why women live longer than men...
I always heard it was because the husbands finally needed to get away from their wives. No offense to the women on site. It was a joke I heard and I can't remember it.
"nicos"?
I thought it was "Nicas"
those guys look vaguely Oriental, at least to my eyes.
I'll agree with the premise of the post, though!
Nico
I did a Search on this Site and found the word but not the particular correction post that I was looking for.
I did find this, "Nicos (as folks from Nicaragua are generally known)"
from: http://www.epinions.com/content_4616986756
Uh, JD -
this guy was hammered by many folks here because of the beer opinion. Also, it should be Nicas, not Nicos. Just because that's how it is. Nico would be short for Nicolás.
Uh, uh
I remember that, and if you look back you will see that I didn't agree with his views about beer but we are not talking about beer now. You and I Cathy, seem to agree on most subjects but this time I don't. I have to go out tonight and I have so many things to complete over the next few days that I might not even get a chance to look at all of the differing opinions on this (#/@x&*$) forum but I won't forget. We (not royal we) will get back to this subject in a couple of days.
Nica for objects.
The people of Nicaragua are Nicos (both male and female) this was pointed out by a Nico in a previous post.
If the Nico has some Indian blood he is vaguely oriental.
You didn't say whether you wanted to see the other 6.
please do
post em :) puhlease...
En Cristo, -Marissa
Yes Jack
post 'em.
By the way, from what I was told, people are Asian, rugs are Oriental. At least that's what this Oriental guy told me. I'm not correcting you, just don't want you to get kung foo'd in the future.
Okay I will
I bought most of my Oriental rugs in Marrakesh which is in Africa. Guess they import them. I did buy a large local Berber rug. Berber rugs made from live sheep wool are way more expensive than wool from sheep that had been killed for food. Ask me if I care.
I have often thought that the indigenous natives of Central and South America didn't all come over the Bering Straits land bridge. I think some arrived by boat on both shores. I believe that there were unexpected intruders from Africa. Egyptians who inadvertently landed on the Central American shores. How else do you explain the sudden jump in cultural practices and the similarity of the pyramids? And on the West Coast, the peoples who colonized all of the Pacific Islands were expert seafarers and it would be very unlikely that they could find all those islands but miss the Americas. They supposedly started out from places like Vietnam so we are back to Asian ancestors again.
Personaly I'd like to see em
reminds me of things I have done in the past and not to distant at that....
