Rogertroll -- its on Ometepe Island, near the town of Balgues (Volcan Maderas side of the island). Its a coffee cooperative.

Very nice huerto, a couple of manzanas in paridice. What more could you ask for? Looks like they are growing a little of everything. It reminds me of a Costarican artist named Fausto Pacheco. He wandered around the countryside doing watercolors of typical houses. In Hotel Europa, El Chepe, they have a room full of his work.

I am anxious to revisit Ometepe, I saw lots of scenes like this, it is truly a magical place.

This has to be one of the most photographed views in NIcaragua and it's easy to see why. I have a similar shot and of course it's on the front cover of the moon guide. The Finca is a great place to visit,the rooms are a little primitive and when they say"cold water" showers there,they mean it.... but the food and coffee is good, and I can get Magdelana grown coffee right here in Wash. state... Did you get a glimpse off the second floor porch?
