I did post on this a bit ago. SJDS should be ideal for this effect, it seems most likely when the setting sun seems elongated into the sea. I'll be there in a couple of days to see for myself.

I've seen the green flash hundreds of times in SJDS and other locals, even in the middle of the U.S. All you need to do is drink a Heinekin and look at the sunset through the bottle. Green flash every time. Not so rare! Doesn't work with Tona or Victoria, all you get is a brown flash. Corona will make you go blind, but that also occurs with drinking the swill.
