View of South EstelíSubmitted by fyl on 14 January, 2005 - 08:37.
![]() This photo is of the south end of Estelí. It was taking from a hill about 1.5km east of the hospital. It makes it pretty obvious that Estelí is in a valley as are most cities in the hills. A friend already commented that it looks like Eastern Washington. It does--except with good weather. ( categories: )

Beautiful Foto
This is a really good shot. Is that a water tank in the distance? And what is the large rectangular building in the middle foreground? Looks like a nice town. Are building materials readily available in town? BTW, your house looks like its coming along very well.

Water tanks and more
There are multiple water tanks in the photo. They are light blue. That building is the new hospital. It is on the Pan Americana just south of town. I need to go back up on the hill with my Nikon with telephoto and get some shots to show more detail.
House is moving right along. Tomorrow I go back to being the electricista. The final stucco coat will be done on Tuesday, windows are ordered, tile is ordered and the carpenter is mostly done with the panels. That leaves the raised ceiling, doors (which can't be done until the tile is down) and paint.
