Glass antique?Submitted by Martin on 25 September, 2006 - 20:16.
![]() Does anyone know where's this from? This glass ornament was my grandmother's and the only info I have is from its two stickers on it. One is a partly ripped sticker with a silhouette of the map of Nicaragua on it and the words barely recognizable "Hecho en Nicaragua". The name of the brand is not complete and can't make out what it says. On the other sticker I just discovered yesterday that it did say something but 95% erased: "Sears". I think it was probably bought in Sears when they had a shop in Managua before the war but I can't believe this type of beautiful glass artifact was made here years ago. Does anyone know??? Hmm...
my aunt's brother, who was the general manager at Sears before the earthquake, is now living in Managua. I'll try to get in touch with him to see what he knows.
