Nicaraguan Government Publishes Sex Manual

This article in El Nuevo Diario caught my eye when I was searching for the IRI stuff. It is cool that the government here decided to produce what sounds like useful information for teens.

My favorite quote from the article is

For those more Spanish-handicapped than I, the Ministry of Education dude is saying that that education begins at home but mothers stick their children in front of the TV and Laura in America comes on at 5PM, a program for adults. Good point.

Laura

She comes on our local Spanish station from 10:30-11:30pm or something. Ive found myself watching it because...i dont know its so sad but the people are easy for me to understand, so i learn some of my Spanish from it. plus some of the stories are interesting...even tho quite depressing and plain horrible sometimes. its amazing how they bring those little kids on there, just bawling their eyes out, then show the footage of hidden cameras in the homes of the parents beating their kids...parents cheating. man...horrible, but even a Mexican friend of mine watches it and looks at it like we do Jerry Springer. She said she doesnt find it sad, really...but more funny/entertaining. I guess its a cultural thing/the way you look at it...

That quote does make a good point... heh, things really arent so different around the world.
