La or El
Either La Prensa or El Nuevo Diario, or both, had artists renderings of the wharf when it was announced. An archive search might turn it up. I recall the article saying there would be a fish processing plant at the dock to add a lovely aroma to the seabreeze.
used to be a fish processing plant there
years ago, but i don't know what happened. it would be just fine with me if it came back. maybe it would keep Subway and all the other fast foodies away....
I'm with ya
Maybe Captain D's would come :-(

never heard of it....
You're better off not having heard of it

or near southern, as the ones nearest to northern New England are in Maryland and Virgina. That link was sooo 1950s.
I Luv Capt. D's Seafood Restaurants
The fish (Whiting) is fried sooooo good and the malt vinegar that I pour over the top is soooooo good and the french fried potatos, slaw, and "hush puppies" are great.
This 600 store chain was originally started by Shoney's Restaurants from Tn.
Luv Capt. D's.

dock
it's hard to see for sure in that photo, but is the dock being built out into the bay? i have a photo right next to me at the computer, (my constant reminder of why i keep working these days), and it doesn't look too much different, but it's from the middle of the beach. looks like a pileup at the dock, boats stacked all close to each other.
