Still kicking it in Granada

Although I get no payment for this or anything else come to think of it, I wanted to thank the website for the referral to Paul Tiffer for legal help. We have used his help several times in both common and strange situations and the guy is a perfectionist but also knows what the deal needs to be. He is more affordable than any of the other lawyers we checked with. Be careful who you choose out there. There have been several lawyers we spoke with out of geographical convienance who knew less than we do and can really mess things up for you. Even if you believe it is a small issue (elections are coming) it is imperative that you not believe that eight billion lawyers that will present themselves. Stick with Paul. Thanks again NL

YES, PAUL IS THE BEST!

I know that lots of things can go wrong when buying land overseas.. Mine went smoothly and I am so grateful to this site for giving me Paul's name & number. It is impossible to figure just how much an honest lawyer is worth. He is humble, reasonably priced and a very, very bright guy (he knows the real estate laws inside and out)!!! and my recommendation also comes from the heart, not the pocket book!!

Thank you Nicaliving (and Miskito Alan!!)

We’ve have recently been

We’ve have recently been in contact with Paul regarding obtaining residency in Nicaragua. Paul has been quick to respond to our emails and to supply us with the information we requested. So far so good, but his prices seem a little high for residency and incorporating a business

curiosity...

What is the price quoted for incorporation?

Paul quoted $1000 plus $200

Paul quoted $1000 plus $200 for the registration. This is a little expensive we felt. Scott Banks posted here on Nica Living that you can apply for a simple business registration called a comerciante. I've emailed Scott asking more details of this registration but haven't heard any back.

hmmmm...

Depends on what the $1000 buys you -- if that includes the name search and registration, a pretty fair "gringo" price. The registration fee may be fair as well if your SA is "domiciled" somewhere other than MGA.

For me, in the long run, it is a matter of trust and the relationship you have with the attorney. From what I know of Paul, he's a darned good guy and a good lawyer too...

S.A. Cost?

In the year of 2000; we paid U$1,000 + some expenses for an S.A.

That was the last one for me.
