The first truth is that the liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of a private power to a point where it becomes stronger than the democratic state itself. That, in its essence, is fascism - ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power. |

gee thanks!!!
Hi Marissa
We were classmates at a masters program in the USA. He followed me all the way to the Philippines after classes ended. Hence, the bald Filipino guys in the background. haha.
I used to be super scared of coming to a totally different place (anyplace outside Southeast Asia is "totally different" to me) with a different language other than english...but now Im determined more than ever to conquer my fears and take the first plane to Managua in November. :) he makes it all worth it.
God Bless!!
bald heads
oh i forgot to ask, why the bald heads? is that the latest trend in the Philippines?
En Cristo, -Marissa
awe im a sucker for love stories
i must say, those Philipino boys are good lookers ;) haha. Your story is so cute! I hope you have the time of your life in November. :)
But i too fell in love with a Nicaraguan. Like you, i think mines the greatest guy in the world. Hes not my boyfriend, its just too hard being so far away and so young, you know? but maybe later, God willing, we can be something more. But hes my best friend and i think he always will be. He makes every moment worthwhile for me, and i for him.
Dont you just love, love? haha

cool picture man,
In Nicaragua, people are sophisticated. Just blend-in. and you'll be o,k. _fyi; don't let your boy go to northern Nicaragua, where girls look better than Parisians and Madrileñas, since they're a blend of all of the above.
Noted!!
I will definitely keep that in mind!!!!
