i usually take the chicken bus to rivas, then change to either the bus to sjds or take a collectivo taxi. cheaper, i bet, and possibly more fun. Just think: you can get whacked on the head (repeatedly) by all the folks selling things, get an hour long ear splitting incomprehensible religious diatribe, followed by sales of calendars to help orphaned children, and maybe even get bogged down by a flat tire. You can drink fake colored or murky drinks from a plastic bag, buy tiny packets of chiclets, get fleeced by lottery ticket selling kids, and get your side to side exercise to boot, when you have to lean waaaay over to let someone squeeze past all the standees to get out.
