they're everywhere! I didn't see these cows when I took the photo. I have very few Ometepe shots without cows lurking in the background.

I doubt he makes much profit at that, but he's not a very popular guy & the subject of many rumors. Apparently the monkeys attack the kayakers or maybe they're trying to hitch a ride back to the hotel to bite the unpopular hotelier

they'll do that. Note the coloration designed to match the dead leaves on nearby downed tree limbs. Very clever!
