Solentiname hotel

Once you are in San Carlos the islands are 30 minutes by fast boat, or an hour plus by slow launch that will take you by the bird sanctuary on Isla Zapote.

We stayed on San Fernando at a place called Hotel Cabanas Paraiso, $30 per person includes 3 meals (fdc extra). Really nice family run hotel. It has 4 rooms in one bldg and a cabina. The kitchen is in a small building of its own and a new dining area was under construction in march 2006.

The phone on the island is 506-301-8809 (via costa rican towers) credit cards accepted but cost an extra $5 phone call to authorize.

Well worth a visit.
