Blackout situation on Ometepe?
Anyone know what the power situation is like on Ometepe these days? I'd been told that at least in Moyagalpa and maybe the whole island they have their own electric utility and aren't having the problems with Fenosa?

Ometepe power
I've been told (but haven't seen it first hand) that the power on the island comes from a diesel generating station at Altagracia. Somewhere on the Nicaliving site I found a photo of the station a while ago.
Cindy - Beautiful
You are beautiful and the picture looks good too.
BTW/ I left cookshow in Corn Island after he dragged me there after his visit to Puerto Cabezas.
He will is looking forward to going back to Ometepe in a couple of weeks. Kevin loves the place of Ometepe.

Beautiful Photo !
Great photo ! Sure looks placid and inviting. Haven't been to Ometepe yet, but plan on visiting sometime during my winter hiatus from the cold and rain in Oregon.
I can hardly wait for Nov - March, but alas, need to have my nest egg to stay that long. Please share more photos !
I think I know the spot
There don't seem to be very many palm or coconut trees on the island, were there any lightning bugs around?
