Better than a sandbox!Submitted by Sarah Parrales on 13 August, 2006 - 18:26.
This is a photo of my two daughters and I taken earlier this year. We are in what is left of the mountain of sand we had delivered for the construction on our house in Buena Vista, Carazo. My girls loved playing in that sand! Sure wish we were back there! Winter in New York is coming too soon! ( categories: )

Carazo
I am building a home in Huehuete, Rogertroll is in Diriamba, Pamela Livingston is living in Casares, Tom and Blanca Gary have lived in La Boquita for 15 years, you are near Casares. Have I missed any? We should all get together sometime and meet each other.
Roll Call
Roger and I (Melissa) are renting in Jinotepe right now. As we're building a house on property with no electricity or city water, it should be interesting to see just how long we're renting in this town. Our three months lease has come and gone. We're up to 6 months now...and counting.
Great!
We are in New York right now. Possibly heading to Nicaragua in January. I didn't know there were so many nicaliving members in that area. I in fact live on the same road as Roger and didn't know it until I came back to New York and recognized his house from the photos he has posted. Would love to meet everyone!

Getting together
Yup, alot of us Gringos in Carazo. More coming to the area. Hoping to have a house warming in December, but if you are not here then PM me when you get here and we can all get together.
we were wondering
my wife and i, were wodering if you lived on the road on the way to Casares? we have a picture of a man that i would like to know how he is doing. i will try and find it and see if you know him. he was one of my favorites. i tried to email you but i couldnt. i will look for the photo and post it if i can figure out how. hope we can share some information, thanks
Hi Vern!
Our house is in Buena Vista del Norte (there is a del Sur), about 30 minutes drive from Diriamba. A dirt road runs through the middle of town which eventually ends up at Casares, but this is not the main paved road going from Diriamba. In fact our road becomes unpassable to vehicles beyond the town as it approaches the ocean. Let me ask my husband about the man in the picture. I won't be surprised if we know him. Everyone knows everyone in those parts!

hey
my wife and i, we lived in diriamba and we would drive out to the beack allot and watch the sun set. it was beautiful. it is a very beautiful area.
the verdict is in!
No, my husband doesn't know the man in the picture. Could be that his father knows him - Simeon Parrales of Buena Vista del Norte. If you know the man's name, let me know. Then we can really try to figure out who he is. It is a very beautiful area, but the wind early this year became very strong and didn't quit for three months!

ok
we were just excited to see where we were so close to where you lived. this man lived on the main road from Diriamba. he lived right beside a church that is on the left going to Diriamba. we dont know his mane though. any way we were just wondering.
