Best beaches..
I prefer Pocho Mil , but call me old fashioned..
Nicas forever
Pochomil
was where my family would go a stay a week. We rented a house there - I have great memories. We'd go to Masachapa too.
Take a Hike
or fly La Costena to Corn Island to see Nicaragua's prettiest beaches.
You are also invited to take a look at "photo section" on NicaLiving and check Corn Island under Atlantico Sur.
Melissa - Seriously, thanks for the laugh about the title.

I've not personally visited
I've not personally visited the beaches on the Atlantic Coast, but have seen many pix. Beautiful white sand and palms, yada, yada, yada.
There are beautiful, white, sandy beaches the world round, but finding an iron oxide beach is much less common. Since I am much more interested in things that can educate me, this beach at El Velero outdoes everything I've yet to come across in Nicaragua.
Show me a beach with volcanic sand, one I can use to homeschool my son, one that has magnetic properties and I'm sold!!!
'Course, as a redhead, I stay away from beaches for the most part and the beauty that attracts me is automatically gonna be different from what attracts most folks.
Just a difference in opinion, Alan. I'll send some more pix to demonstrate my point.
No Point
No Point.
I was missing you and I had to get your attention so that you would leave all your great cooking alone a few minutes and come visit with us on "NL".
