these men for this is a really nasty job. in port they use to pile all the trash at the end of the market . it would get as high as8,9 feet and about a 40 foot radius before they would come and pick it up.what a smell that use to be
Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Those guys work without gloves, without shoes and probably for next to nothing in pay. My garbage collection fee is only 20 cords a month!

me confunden, me perdono por favor,
I though they were feeding the street dogs
They have much nicer trucks now than in the pic and even though the pay is low, they get to keep all the best garbage. When I read the stories of people picking a living out of the Managua dump I wonder what is left to hit the dump. Here I have the smallest garbage can the city offers and it's thirty-three gallons. Up until I started the move it was hard for me to fill it up and all my neighbors have the big 70-`120 gallon cans always full. The neighbors in Granada use a grocery bag and a shoe box for thier trash..
I only wish these Nica garbage men could get a chance to drive down the alley in some Seattle yuppie neighborhood, maybe Medina by Bill Gates' place.
