First Roger, nice piece of property...
But just to get some blood-pressures to rise a few points, does anyone else look at the infrastructure here and wonder about Nicas not even being able to find toothpaste during the '80s while the USSR was pouring money into the F$LN so they could have "very well constructed" latrines???
[ducking, donning flame-proof suit]
I support well-constucted latrines!
Back when the New Nited states Army joined me, I was in a rocket attack (receiving end) in which one of the two fatalities was hit while on the throne in a wooden latrine. Before this incident, I had thought that the term "getting your s*** blown away" was just a figure of speach, but sometimes reality is stranger than fiction.
Go ahead, duck and put on your fire-proof suit; I was in the sack at the time and pulling the pillow over my head worked for me.
"Tempus fugit"
ok!
I was in an escusado back in 87 when the contra try to take el empalme de la dalia, I was probably about 10 years old and had to run back to the hotel were we were staying as they were shooting up the place. needles to say it was pretty scary. on those days we play with my dad at the smallest places in northern nicaragua and encounter many scenes of the war.

Who would disagree with that being a shame? But that same shame seems to apply all over the world. Think of all the money going into Haliburton in Iraq. Every country has the same justifications for spending on war or military instead of their own poor or needy or even average Jose. And there's always some kind of arms race or mutual paranoia involved. So I don't think it's just the Sandinistas who were at fault, even without going further into the contra-U.S. role in that conflict. We're all caught up in this same way of doing things that ultimately little people always pay for. Glad you at least got a nice place out of it though, no sarcasm at all intended.
correct
There was no lack of money when it came to the army, or for the top people. Do anybody think that " poor herty " that just stop smoking, died as a poor man ? fact is that he was in the multi millions of dollars, properties everywhere.
Quantos?
How many people will you be commanding?
How many of those are of the opposite sex?
