![]() I was walking down a path on the Mombacho Volcano when this Coral snake crossed about six inches from my foot, could have been dead instead of retired. Somehow I managed to take this photo and after he had plenty of time to clear I continued on. ( categories: )

Same thing happened to me
on a trek in a park near Catrina...biggest coral snake I have ever seen....scared the snot out of us. Luckily the guide spotted it first. It was very lazy and did not want to move off of the path...I guess it knew who was the boss.
