National Bird

I thought it was he empty light blue water bags that are omnipresent at every street corner.

Thats the National Flower your talking about.

Nicaragua Classic Edition

Mr. Cigarman You should make a special edition Cigar Box, instead of that Eagle on the box you can use a Guardabarranco and use that fancy Gold Printing like they used to do way back when, on cigar boxes.

that was....

a great idea!

ssshhh Its coming

It will be a Grand Reserve :-)

Is there any way to make the bird on etched glass and have that as the top of the box and be able to see the cigars lined up underneath?

I know...now marketing costs drive up the cost of the product when the product is already top quality.

I'm just thinking of the Cuban cigar boxes I've seen with plain glass lids and thought you had a chance to take it to the next level...unless it was just too cost prohibitive.

Glass

I have an odd feeling purchasing the equipment to etch glass is out of the question in Nicaragua (due to cost)? but that would look pretty neat.

I have only seen this bird on a few odds an ends on artesania. I am kind of surprised because this bird really stands out and is a good image for Nicaragua.

I would loved to make a stained glass, window hanger that looks like it.

etching equipment

I have no idea how much the equipment costs...or what kind of equipment is even needed.

The reason I thought of the etched glass was because a lot of bars and restaurants and other business's...even my dentist...have these beautiful etched glass doors and windows with their company names and logos on them. I can't imagine them shipping it in from the outside so I "assumed"...I've been wrong before. Twice. -smile-

Designs on glass.

Three ways to do it:

1.Etched,using acid. (Cheap way)

2.Sand-blasted: Air gun and container needed. Better ones have a ceramic tip. The most expensive piece of equipment needed is the air compressor.

3.Using glue: I used to know how this was done. A certain kind of glue is painted on and I think it is the frozen. The glue pops off little chips of glass to leave the design.

Wrong?

I've been wrong twice in my life too.

Both times, I thought that I was wrong; but,I was actually right.

Silk Screening

is an excellent alt, and way cheaper, just llok at this ashtray it was silkscreened and it looks like a sticker Ashtray Pic

FAP

Yes it can be done

We have one of the BESt Silk Screeners probly in ALL of Nicaragua, he can silk screen anything, thou I think that bird would look way better on a Cedar Box. The cost is not much higher than our Eagle

FAP

how much....

for a box of those cigars with the cedar box with the bird? sorry, i can't help being crass. yes, if you have to ask, i can't afford it. so i ask.

Jim Here in the States

You guys get 50% off MSRP so they average about $45-$55 a box,You buy them at our Factory in Esteli they are $30 a box of 25 sticks, they are NOT as expensive as they look.

Those of You that know cigars know what I mean

FAP

As long as

They are not as expensive as they taste.

if i come this summer....

i'll stop by estelli and get a box. i am trying to twist john's arm. then, i'll have to twist the arm of my wife that just gave birth to twins. we'll see.

You don't have to twist my arm

You just have to buy our tickets!

i'd rather.....

twist your arm. not to be confused with dan rather.

Then all I have to say is

OUCH!!!

I'll vote for cedar then

Cedar smells better than glass anyway! -smile-

good one!

That's a great idea!
