Modern Art in San Rafael del Norte

The park in front of the cathedral in San Rafael del Norte has a typical example of heroic modern sculpture in concrete. It's in stark contrast to the majestic 19th century cathedral.

i'd probably like it.....

more, if the base weren't painted that ugly sea foam green.

I think a volunteer army of . . .

retired gardeners and landscapers could really be put to good use . . . the grass right up to the base of a sculpture is just so wrong ; )

Mulch

please.

too bad . . .

they don't shred and bag cane and banana excess. I bet that'd make a great mulch. I really want to look at getting a small/medium scale compost operation going too

small landscape business

Could be a good idea. Maybe for the little, detailed things sometimes overlooked.

Seafoam green

I used to be a painter when I was a kid. What color would you like? I'll see what I can do when I'm down there.

white....

with clay roofs, por favor.

Consider it

done.

Seafoam green

That seems like most commonly used paint color in Nicaragua. A lot of people paint the walls inside thier house with it. As Se_vnt3 says, they're masochists.

Green & purple

I see quite a few houses of the above colors in the "not so nice" areas of Boynton Beach.
