Eviction continued...............Submitted by Huehuete Bob on 25 May, 2006 - 14:52.
Last few days we have been going back and forth to the police for them to evict the tenants (see my earlier blog "eviction". we complained about the violence and the damage done, and had channel 10 provide thier video of the incident. Also provided some missing hair and torn blouse from my lawyer (and the knife mark on her stomach). Today at 9:00 the police went with her to the property and asked for any paper claim or legal form they had for the property. The daughter only was there and said that 2:00 the mother would be there with thier "lawyer". Well at 2:00 they were not there and the police served the resolution to the daughter. Tomorrow at 12:00 if they are not gone the police are supposedly going to remove the tennants. Now in the video, the tennant was brandishing the knife and saying she would stay there for a year (normal time to go through the courts). Seems like there is a quick way to evict someone after all. All you have to do is get the tennants to do something stupid and illegal......Then pay the cops a few action certificates. Next step, if the eviction is complete tomorrow we will try and get the police to arrest the tennant's so called laywer for damaging the property. Comments??? |

Sounds like
In Oregon, the tenants really would get to stay another year, maybe two, and not even have to pay a thing! I would say thank God nobody was hurt, and I think you have done just the right thing. Well thought out to wait until the jerks are out and then go after their lawyer. I would love to see a great big fine for them, as is only fair!
Sounds like another day in paradise to me.
