took the twins......

to an event for local politicos. one of the politicos saw the twins and said, "they don't miss a meal."

Hey!

How about an updated photo of the kiddos, Your Honor?

I briefly met FisherCigarMan's little man at the airport 10 days ago -- planning to get our families together after xmas on Ometepe.

One last sad note. About 10 mins ago I heard a very soft "buena" at my door. Mother with four small children and a baby. Baby two days old, VERY small - I'd guess 3-4 lbs. Looking for money or food or whatever. I gave her a bag of Aly's formula and some coins. I'm not much for the beggars here in the "not real Nicaragua" but seeing that baby made me remember how very lucky I am to have had the resources to have a beautiful and healthy little girl. I'll take credit for the resources but the credit for Aly really goes to having a wonderful wife who is a great mother...

I live in Granada, the "not real Nicaragua"

that is very sad......

in the competitive world we are in, one of my big things is the tv keeps us thinking about what we don't have. sad stories like that momma, makes me realize how much we really do have. i am glad you gave to her. here i see a lot of homeless men. i let one live at one of my dad's businesses. but, if i give him money, i know he is going to buy a beer. i saw a pregnant homeless woman at a stop light. i gave her money bc i figured it wasn't going to alcohol. now that i think about it, no guarantees.

thanks for all the thoughtful and kind responses.

not much sleep in since bringing them home Sunday. but i am thankful.

see above...

note the grammar, due to lack of sleep

I'm jealous!

Congratulations!! I hope you have a grandmother or aunt there for a few months to help! My children were not twins, only 18 months apart and it felt like ran for 5 years without stopping.

I'm so happy for you. blue cayuga studio

Adorable

They are cute and adorable. Makes me remember when my 17 year old was a baby...makes me wish I had another one. Wait. NO! My god what am I saying?

Congratulations.

Thanks for the pic!

And congrats from our family as well!

Wow,

what beautiful babies! Congratulations to you and your family!

Twins

Hey congrats on the twins..they are cutie pies....and so big. Hope your wife is doing well since the delivery! Give her my best!

I'm partial to twins being one myself...however I weight alot more now and not as cute as your Maggie. Come to think of it...Trey is a hell of lot cuter then my brother...LOL

Words of advice...don't put them in those matching boy-girl twin outfits...they will thank you in the future :)

thanks, i will not buy any matching outfits.

you have my word on it. in fact, i will not buy any outfits. i do feed and change diapers, but no clothes buying.

No laundry, either?

One load of horribly shrunken and color-run laundry, and you won't be washing them any more, either. Then you can spend your time showing the kids NicaLiving!

i like the way you think.

just in time, we bought the front loading washer and dryer. the front loading washer uses less water and is more energy efficient. i took the 1983 ford pickup and brought them home. i then installed them. that is the end of laundry for me.

Oy Vey Jim

It uses less water but one is suppose to use a low suds detergent in them...other wise the soap never washes out. I've found I've had to do two rinses on clothes... so much for saving water...grrrrrrrrr!However, on the other side...I have plenty of friends that swear by them!

my wife wanted a front loader......

i checked into consumer reports. it said more energy efficient and less water. looked like 3 years to break even via money saved for electricity and water. so i then found the best buy rating from consumer reports, and voila, there here. hope they make 15 -20 years so they'll be the last ones i buy up here before moving down there. oy vey is right.

Congrats Jim

Beautiful twins.

I have a 15 day old 8 pound boy myself, Have not slept(more than 2 hours straight :-/) since his birth yet. ohhh but I love it, its a minute sacrifice for the joy he brings to my life.

Beautiful Babies!

Congratulations to you all!

Now get ready for a few years of hell :-).

Tom

Fantastic!

They look great!
