Nicaragua National Symbol

Nicaragua National Symbol

I don't know if anyone will have any use for this stuff or not, but here it is. I have rebuilt the Nicaragua National symbol in a vectorized format in Corel Draw 11, and exported it as an .eps file and a .ai file, the latter in both pc and mac formats. I don't have a MAC so I can't verify if the export was successful.

For those of you who are not into graphics, the advantaged of a vectorized image is that it can be "blown-up" to virtually any size without distortion (pixelization). It is also easy to change color, position, shape, etc. of objects within the image.

There is also a .jpg image on the linked-to page. If any one needs a different size of jpg and doesn't have the software to produce it, just message me and I will do it for you. It only takes a couple of seconds to do so it won't cost anyone anything.

I didn't spend a whole lot of time on the build-out so it is not perfect but it will save a graphic artist an hour or so and (s)he can polish it to her/his heart's desire.

I am doing this little project because I am getting a lot of information from this forum and want to reciprocate in some way.

another source

This whole process has already been done but I had fun with it any way. Pete sent me a link to a very nice version in scalable vector format (svg). I missed it somehow in my google searching.

I really appreciate Pete's assistance.

Republica

Pan you also have to take care of that missing "b" on republica

Thanks, Walter

Looks like I am going into the shop tomorrow to fix this stuff. Besides, somehow my original image posted here has been changed by some one or some thing (scarry!) to a slightly different coat of arms, and I kind of like the new image better so maybe I will rebuild it.

In any event I should have used the spell checker.

Thanks again, Walter

good effort, but The cap!

Great effort but you need to work on the detailing of the Red cap in the middle. Otherwise its just a blob.

heres a link to the presidents website and it describes a bit of the Patriotic symbols

http://www.presidencia.gob.ni/Presidencia/files_index/simbolos%20patrios...

Not even their website shows it zoomed in, but I believe there is a picture of how it should look at the National Palace.

Thanks

I really didn't know what it was. I have been calling it the "pimento." I thought it might be a real anatomical human heart but that would be kind of gruesome. My artist friend thought it was the shape of the country. Google image search just brought up more blobs. I appreciate your link and will chase it down and get it right.

Thanks, Pan

The cap

The "Frigio" cap is consider a symbol of "Liberty" was used by the Greek and the Romans(Pileus), eventually was used by the french revolution also as a symbol of freedom, many flags carry the same symbols such as: Argentina, Uruguay, Ecuador,Bolivia,Colombia, Paraguay

phrygian cap

I found it. It is called in English the "Phrygian Cap" because, apparently, it was worn by Phrygians. I think that is another name for Trojans. It is an illusive image but I finally found one on an old coin and will have it rebuilt and in the images by Tuesday afternoon, sooner if I decide to come into the shop this weekend, along with more, no doubt, than anyone wants to know about Phrygians and their headgear. Praise the Universe and the Internet it created!

Thanks !

Jersey of course. but Im from the better southern half where it doesnt smell as bad as the north.

Like John Wayne

"Farmer John Wayne" of Puerto Cabezas is in farming country.

I think that South Jersey is too.

Watch out for those Sopranos and Stevie van Zandt too.

Maybe, watch out for the Boss Bruce Sprinsteen too.

I think how you refered to the beer by saying Keep'em (em)refering to the beer being plural, right. Cause I am thinking singular for this one. haha

Im planing

On guessing the rest of your riddles :-)

The blob

That would be very interesting, Honestly the only reason I knew is because I asked about it at the National Palace. I could never figure out why a "red Blob"

When your done you may have the most accurate image of the national symbol, in the world, haha
