Northern Bay Area - SJDS

This is a favorite view of mine from up on the hill. It's pretty in SJDS when things are green.

I love this view also.

El Toro

This view is to the north from Pacific Marlin (hill on the north side of SJDS Bay). The closest bay (in the foreground) is Nacascolo Bay. The other bay is El Toro Bay. The orientation of the picture makes it one of my favorites of that area. Most others take east/west oriented pictures looking out to the Pacific. I think this one best captures the beauty of the area. We can't wait for the rains to return.

so how is the hace calor?

a little cooler at your hilltop b and b and a little warmer in sjds? do you have a temperature guage?

hay mucho presion

It's been very hot and humid lately as we shift into rainy season. Here as elsewhere we don't have thermometers, but I'm guessing its high nineties (35+C), maybe into the hunnerds (40sC). The winds have dropped somewhat, but occasionally rev up for awhile. We are definitely cooler up here than in town, and a lot less dust. Local (I believe La Prensa) thought is that the rains will be towards the end of May, later than normal. I hear that there are lots of storms and hurricanes forecasted for this year. Last year we had a tropical storm form to the west of us. First time in recorded history one has formed so far south (pacific side). We had rain for a month in June.

The pool is getting a work out! Beer consumption is up, appetites down. Dog days right now. We'll have a nekid rain dance for you when the rains come!

thanks,

because in here, i'm already there.

my little girl loves your picture......

is it pacific marlin?

You

guessed it! For sure the shot was taken up in Pacific Marlin from the house that I rented for a weekend throu Steve Snyder. The people that own it have a greek last name, but I can't remember it at the moment.

We haven't been there in a while, because the minimum rental is now two days instead of one, and the price has gone up a lot. Still, it was a great place to get away for a night and a day ... and we did it probably three times over the last couple of years.

great!

my wife and i have a lot near there. we have 15 - 20 years til we get there. i am looking into jinotega for a second lot. we'll see
