Poo-Poo to Poo-Poo Peter Christopher Kawecki

Peter: I was never that dishonest and ashamed of my family.

In Cajun, Louisiana (Vermont?); a young man had the name of Poo-Poo Thibideaux.

Poo-Poo Thibideaux had this name given to him him at birth by his mama.

People had kidded Poo-Poo all his life about his name.

Finally: Poo-Poo said that he was going to local judge and get his name changed in a legal manner to stop the jokes. He went to the judge and the judge said "Poo-Poo Thibideaux - People have known you all your life by that name; but, if you want me to legally change your name - I will."

The judge asked "Well - Poo Poo Thibideaux - What will be your new name? Poo-Poo Thibideaux said that his new name would be

Poo-Poo Peter Christopher Kawecki.

but if you'd like to explain your Miskito heritage, the basis for your superior education and intelligence, and why you think M.A. allied himself with suicide bombers by adopting a muslim name in the 70s, feel free. I'm interested. Perhaps I misspoke/wrote. Especially if you can be polite and cut the extreme hostility.

do not assume that everyone in New Mexico is responsible for the Mexico land grab, or that we are all support the "minute men's" ridiculous border patrol. Many of us stayed home on Monday or otherwise supported the day without an immigrant boycot -- many of us are very evolved, highly educated, aware and compassionate.

I am simply bothered by stereotypic thinking and judgments made on the basis of a name, geographical location etc. I prefer to try to see people for who they are.

I am very much looking forward to getting to know Nicaragua and hope that I will not be judged by the airport I fly out of or some superficial trivia.

I lived in rural Mexico for years, have compadres there, a phD in cultural anthropology and moved to New Mexico about 25 years ago because of its startling beauty and tolerance for individuality.
