Bringing my dog---advice soughtSubmitted by Kathleen on 8 April, 2006 - 10:23.
I am planning on bringing my Chihuahua to Managua with me. So far, I have her vet records in Spanish (not a problems since all her heath care has been handled in Mexico), a Spanish letter from my vet attesting to her good health. I really don't understand wbout the "government official" letter requirement---will any goverment official do (like the mayor?) What can I expect to encounter at customs if I only come armed with her vaccine records and the letter from the vet? ( categories: )

Your dog
You simply need a certificate of health from your vet and you need to bring your pet and the certificate to the local USDA quarantine station for them to provide you with travel documents, thats all. I did it.
You also need to obviosly check the airline or carrier regulations, size of container, etc....a tranquilizer is recommended...I brought my minpin, he made it ok
