Laguna De Apoyo from the Balcony at La OrquideaSubmitted by Jay_D on 1 April, 2006 - 09:00.
La Orquidea is my new favorite B&B At Laguna de Apoyo. Carol and Ken Bob are the expat proprietors from Colorado, USA. This is a great place to chill and relax. They are not in the Moon Guidebook. Here is a link for them. There is also a new hotel near them that I visited for lunch. Apparently Vilma the proprieter, hired the former chef from Norome. Lunch was a four course event and was great, although it was quite pricey. ( categories: )

That picture would be bought by the renowned ¨Travel¨& Leisure¨ or the great ¨Conde Nast Travel¨ magazine.
A beautiful picture.
The picture really makes me want to go today. Too bad that I´m stuck right now in Puerto Cabezas.

The subject probably has more to do with the result than the operator.
Laguna de Apoyo was the first place I ever visited in Nicaragua (kayak expedition & spanish school) six years ago, and I keep coming back. Stunning beauty and still the pristine charm. JD
