bringiing a car to nicaraguaSubmitted by mackzoore on 23 March, 2006 - 19:13.
i'm moving to nicaragua this summer for a few years of work and, i thought i was doing the smart thing by buying a 1990 (4 cyl) toyota 4runner. i put a chunk of change into fixing it up for the drive and started buying some spare parts.... but i found out today from the school that i'm working for that you can not import cars 10 years or older.... is this true? and if so, is there any way of getting around this? i really want to keep this truck. thanks zack zmoore@gwhs.org ( categories: )

True
1. Yes
2. There are ways around everything, if you bribe the right people, but why take the risk over a ten year car. Sell your car, buy a 10 year old car in Nicaraga.
