Can Nic. become safer?Submitted by primitivecool on 5 March, 2006 - 10:49.
I figured they had some crime and since I never been to Nic. I'm wasn't sure how much, but it was sad to hear the kids have guns and use them in crimes against people. C.R. Has done real well in keeping it quiet. I had someone come in my room in C.R. why I was shaving and try to take the jewelry off my sleeping girlfriend. I walk out of the bathroom and find him. It was a strange situation. Anyway my point is, Nic. really needs to do all they can to keep this from happening if they want to draw tourism. Plus, it makes Nic Living a much better place. I think most of us know why these kids are doing it, No parental guidance, lack of discpline, drugs, poverty and who knows what else. But the crime ridden areas are where I will probably go to try and get kids to play badminton. I have this ideal that if I put a racket in there hands, hopefully it would replace a gun or knife down the road. So, I think when I get to Nic. I will find me some type of body guard who might speak a little English.. Does anyone know of someone who I can hire? I guess a cab driver who also protects, would be what I'm looking for. I have two young children and they do need there Dad around so I don't want to be crazy about this. I know I will have many troubles doing this but I just hope the outcome may be safer streets for everyone. It upsets me more for the victims and what they go through after there life was threaten. I wouldn't claim that I can make any impact on this problem but I do believe that most crime is do to the situation and perhaps if you can change that a little then the individual will change along with it. To All. A safe and happy day ( categories: )

One solution
Opportunity in the form of meaningful education and/or employment.
As to having a bodyguard, it is clearly your decision. Personally, I have no more intention of hiring/having a bodyguard here than I would in Miami, Toronto, London or Paris...
