This was taken after the hike up and down Concepcion - I look like I am about 20lbs lighter.

There was a travel article in the LA Times about Concepcion. It was published February 15 of this year. For a while it was free to look at. It's been archived and now you have to pay. It was a good article though and has some great photos.

Killer Hike!

I would love to have made that hike!

Tell me more about your experience at the top? Could you hear, see or smell much volcanic activity? When I was there in February there were days where you could see sulpher smoke coming out of the crater, but it was also frequently obscured by clouds.
